Cute picture! Fergus looks adorable too. Just wondering what kind of food you feed Fergus? I’m assuming it’s vegan. Can you tell me where you get it, or where I can find the recipe to make it.
Thanks!!
Hi Alice
No. Fergus is not vegan. I don’t believe that dogs can do well on a vegan diet long-term…

There are many vegetarian diets available that dogs do quite well on. That’s interesting that Fergus is not on a veg or vegan diet. I would have thought that with your requests of the BCSPCA, and suggestions of their hypocrity, you would have made an effort to find a healthy veg. diet for your dog.

Alice,
Just an observation, but she said Fergus isn’t vegan, but she didn’t say anything about feeding him a vegetarian diet. It can be difficult to keep a dog healthy (long term, as Sarah said) on a vegan diet. My husband and I found a reputable, good vegan food called V-Dog, but our dad started having joing problems on the diet. Now we give her a veggie formula.
Alice. How do you know I haven’t made the effort to feed Fergus the healthiest diet possible?
He is the light of my life and I do what I think is best for him. I’m looking at LONG TERM optimum health. Not “do quite well” health.
Dogs are not built the same as humans and like I said before … I don’t believe that dogs do well LONG TERM on a vegan diet.
